Update 03/07/26

Soooooo....... Uhhhh.......
I guess I'm still here. That's a thing, I guess.
Today I should have time to see wtf needs replaced in the car's wheel-area. I would have earlier if the rain stopped.

Anyway, aside from that, I got a replacement hard drive for my PC since that took a shit, and now my OS is extremely confused and DiscoverNotifier is in a crash loop as soon as I log into kde.
Idk what its problem is, but it's annoying.
Flatpak also crashes, idk what the heck is going on there but I feel like I'm gonna' need to nuke some config files -_-
Reinstalling and updating shit did not help.

IN OTHER NEWS....
I've learned a bit of C and C++ to grow my understanding of low-level code. Reading assembly is too much of a pain in the ass, it turns out. So it's best to learn a language that shit can decompile into so I can read the shit in Ghidra.
I'm looking into coding with Raylib because it's light and handles GUI shit with the highest level of customization possible without having to deal with any QT boilerplate or complicated layout shit. Designing good customizable UI in raylib is going to be interesting, I suspect. Step one is to lock in and make some sort of config file that will handle the attributes of different elements so I can change things in real time without having to recompile (because fuck that jazz, my potato is stressed enough as it is). A sort of "hot reloading" but not the libraries, just some values.

On that note, I feel like maybe I should look into if it's possible to programmatically reload a dll or .so file or whatever (hot reload) as part of the workflow, because tinkering with components is easier when you don't have to recompile the entire project (again).
... I guess you could just plop in the fresh dll and restart the main program if the core logic never changed \_[?]_/ idk.
I probably overcomplicated some shit there. Oopsies.

Oh btw we're at war with Iran now.

Just felt like I should point that out.

Yeah... here we go again. Apparently the usa has bombed 6 schools in Iran and so me hospitals and is planning to use some bombs we decided not to use in Afghanistan because they'd result in too many civilian casualties.
This administration, however, doesn't care who dies. It doesn't seem like a stretch to think there's a reason for all the precision strikes hitting civilian infrastructure and eliminating a bunch of literal children.

I've heard that israel and the USA want Iran to become a failed state so later Israel can consume Iran so it can become part of "a greater Israel".
